Character

Name: Sora
Canon: Kingdom Hearts
Canon point: Very beginning of KH3, following the tutorial section at Olympus.
Age: 16
History: Wiki link

Personality: •Driven: Once Sora gets a goal in mind, he doesn't let go of it easily. He wants results, and he wants them quickly-- he can easily get frustrated when it seems progress isn't being made or he isn't seeing instant results. He constantly feels like he has to do more, even when he's already doing things to the best of his ability. He can have a bit of a narrow view when it comes to his goals, though, and push others away or let things fall to the wayside because he's focusing too much on one thing in particular rather than the bigger picture.
•Brave: Danger doesn't even faze Sora. He hardly even thinks before jumping into a fight, regardless of how big his opponent is compared to him. He goads others for being scared sometimes simply because he has no reservations when it comes to leaping headfirst into a challenge. Half of his bravery stems from his constant need to assist and protect people; the other half stems from the fact that he just doesn't look before he leaps and rarely considers the consequences of throwing himself into danger. He doesn't take care of himself as much as he should; his safety comes second, the safety of others always comes first.
•Friendly: Sora will befriend e v e r y o n e. And everything, if he's capable of it. He's too nice for his own good, and incredibly forgiving just because he genuinely likes people and wants them to like him back. He strikes up conversations easily and oftentimes doesn't get the hint when people want him to back off because he's just so eager to get to know them. His friends are the source of his strength, so the more friends he has the better, if you ask him.
•Loyal: Going along with the previously mentioned point, Sora would literally do anything for those he considers a friend. You can't shake him once he's attached himself to you. He'll go to hell and back to protect someone he cares about, and he's literally willing to sacrifice himself if it means he has a shot at saving them.
•Foolish: Sora isn't book-smart. At all. Donald has claimed he can't count before and Sora didn't even deny it. He's slow on the uptake, bad at piecing things together, and he's so bad with technology that he had to be taught how to use a cellphone (he's not even allowed within a twenty-foot radius of computers).
•Work-shy: Though Sora may seem like a never-ending font of energy (he charges into battle without thinking and runs more frequently than he walks), he's very selective in where he applies that. Racing and fighting? Fine. Actually working or studying? No thanks. Kairi's called him out for being lazy before, and it's not that far from the truth-- as much as he's constantly raring to go, he doesn't have a great work ethic.

Always Keep In Mind: What I try to keep in mind is where his goals stem from; that is, his desire to protect others. It's the driving force between his actions, it's why he chooses to fight and continues on even when things seem hopeless-- it's all for others. Not even just his friends, necessarily, because everyone has the potential to become a friend in Sora's mind. This goal is also his weakness, though, because it means he feels weak on his own and sometimes he can't shoulder the weight of trying to save everyone without it completely breaking him. He hides it behind his positive, goofy attitude, but the responsibility he bears and the fact that he feels personally responsible for protecting everyone is a heavy burden, especially for a teenager. Optimistic and raring to charge into danger as he is, there's been times when Sora is ready to give up entirely just because of how overwhelming it is. He feels like he's personally failed when anything goes wrong. Essentially, he's not always as chipper as he tries to get others to believe, and he always always always puts others needs before his own. He'll go out of his way to cheer others up even when he feels completely hopeless.

Questions: Write an IC answer to the following questions:

What do you want to study at Diatu Magicademy?
What? Seriously? Why wouldn't I want to study here? Magic is awesome! I used it all the time back home and I figure it can't be too different here, you know? How hard could it be to figure it out? Plus it... sounded pretty important to learn how to control it. I wouldn't want to hurt anybody just because I didn't bother to practice.

If you knew you could go back to the moment you left, would you leave immediately or continue your studies for a while?
...I'd leave. I have something really important I need to do back home, and I don't think I can waste any time. Even if new powers would be helpful... I don't think they're the right kind of power. Not the one I'm looking for, anyway. Besides, I'll have to show Donald that I'm better at magic than him! He'll be so mad.

If your enemy was at Diatu Magicademy, how would you react?
I... have a lot of enemies... well, I guess I'd just keep doing what I always do. Stopping them. If they showed up here just because they're following me around then it's my job to keep them from hurting others.

When is it acceptable to resolve a dispute by force?
I mean, if they attack you first then what're you supposed to do? Sometimes a fight's the only way to knock some sense into somebody!

What should the supreme goal of any wizard be?
I feel like Donald tried to teach me this before, but I have no idea what he was saying...
Er, to have fun and... be yourself...?

Special Considerations

Your Special Something: Rare Familiar

Rank Your House Choice: Valhudor, Eiather or random!

Powers: •Summoning his Keyblade-- in all appearances it's just a giant sword shaped like a key, though it's primary purpose is unlocking hearts, worlds, and doors. It can be used to free hearts from the heartless. Its form and strengths can be changed by swapping out the keychain on the end of it for another.
•He also knows magic, although it's tied to the Keyblade. He can't cast any spells from his world without having the Keyblade on hand. The list of things he can impact with his magic include: gravity, time, thunder, water, ice, fire, and wind. All with very limited areas of effect, of course.

Items: •His Keyblade (and potentially some or all of the keychains he's collected to change its form)
•His Gummiphone-- it's basically just a cellphone that can be used to take pictures, call others, and store information. The only information of note he keeps on there is the journal entries documenting his current journey.
•Kairi's wayfinder charm

Anything Else: Though I'm technically taking him from KH3, he's coming in from the very beginning, immediately following the tutorial. As such, there won't be any spoilers in that regard.
